Nanoarchitectures in Management of Fungal Diseases: An Overview

Fungal infections, from mild itching to fatal lead chronic diseases and death. Antifungal agents have incorporated chemical compounds natural products/phytoconstituents in the management of fungal diseases. In contrast antibacterial research, novel antifungal drugs progressed more swiftly because their existence negligible resistance infections bioactivities. Nanotechnology-based carriers gained much attention due magnificent abilities. Nanoarchitectures served as excellent carriers/drug delivery systems (DDS) for delivering with improved activities, bioavailability, targeted action, reduced cytotoxicity. This review outlines different treatment strategies involving various nanocarrier-based techniques such liposomes, transfersomes, ethosomes, transethosomes, niosomes, spanlastics, dendrimers, polymeric nanoparticles, polymer nanocomposites, metallic carbon nanomaterials, nanoemulsions, among other nanotechnological approaches.
